Explore the exciting world of watercolor by enjoying its special qualities. No matter what your skill level, beginner or advanced, watercolor will surprise you. Bring your own materials – sketchbook, watercolor paper, basic colors, and an assortment of brushes. Paintings will be made in a variety of ways, direct, wet-in-wet, experimental and more working from life and your personal photos. |

| KIDS WHEEL THROWING CLAY CLASS |

In this wheel thrown pottery class for ages 7-10, students will learn how to center the clay on the wheel and then form it into vases, mugs and bowls. We will also work on adding the finishing touches to the piece by trimming to form a foot ring and adding handles. The students will then be able to glaze their pots in the last two lessons. |

This fun class is for ages 4-7 and will explore the world of hand-building pottery with clay. Jesse will teach students how to hand build their own pots. We will make slab and coil built dishes, including plates, bowls and mugs. The students will then be able to glaze their pots in the last two lessons. |

This class will emphasize digital photography and will cover color curves, rubber stamp tool, masks, adjustment layers, levels, modes, and resolution. Basic knowledge of Photoshop is required. For teens and adults. |

DRAWING AND PAINTING |

This course explores painting from direct seeing. Instruction is geared to opening the personal voice whether beginner or more experienced. There is plenty of one-to-one instruction, in color, design, tones, all the elements that comprise two dimensional work. The emphasis is on getting free and discovering the route to self-expression through paint. We'll use still life, landscape, flowers. Work in oil, acrylic, pastel, oil pastel, water color, or any other medium of your choice. |

Enjoy learning the techniques and philosophy of Chinese brush painting, and Japanese Sumi’e painting which developed from it. The skills learned and practiced can be used to make beautiful paintings translated into your own style. This is a lot of fun and not too difficult - “a day to learn and a lifetime to master.” No experience required – for teens and adults. Please call for materials list. |
