Art Instruction Classes at the CAS Arts Center

INTERMEDIATE BEADING
Six Wednesdays 6:30pm – 8:30pm Wednesdays, October 29, November 5, 12 & December3, 10, 17 Artist Instructor: Karin Houeland Fee: Member $150, Non-Member $165
Karin will build on the fundamentals of jewelry beadwork while allowing each student to explore their own creativity through the use of various color schemes and materials. Throughout the class you will be designing necklaces, bracelets, and earrings while exploring different techniques. Material fees included in the price. This is a great way to start your holiday gift-making.

LIFE CLASS
Five Thursdays 6:00pm-8:30pm Thursdays, November 13, 20 & December 4, 11, 18 Artist Moderator: Judith Reeve Fee: Members $75, Non-Members $90
Artists get together to work (in all mediums). All levels welcome. Live model supplied. Work created as part of this class will be presented at the Arts Center as a student exhibition.

ONE HORSE OPEN CLAY

As the holidays are quickly approaching, now is the time to make your own holiday gifts including necklaces, charms, buttons bowls, and ornaments. All levels are welcome to learn how to work clay and/ or perfect your potting skills.

BOTANICAL WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP
Two Weekend Workshops 12:00pm – 4:00pm 1st Session: Saturday, November 22 & Sunday November 23 2nd Session: Saturday, December 6 & Sunday December 7 Artist Instructor: Roberta Rosenthal Fee for one session: Member $80, Non-Member $90 Both Sessions: Member $150, Non-Member $170
Using traditional eastern and western watercolor techniques to explore creative painting of floral subjects. Artists can choose to work in free style or detailed botanical. This course is for teens and adults who have had some drawing and watercolor experience. Take one session or both to further your exploration.

BRACELET MAKING WORKSHOP
One Day Workshop 1:30pm – 3:00pm Friday, November 28 Artist Instructor: Karin Houeland Fee: Member $15, Non-Member $20
Kick off your holiday shopping by joining us for a special Bracelet making class with jewelry artist Karen Houeland. This class is geared for 8 year-olds & up, with all materials included. Have fun while getting a jump on your holiday gifts! Karin will also sell her own exquisite jewelry from 3-5pm that day.
