4 sessions: Fridays, November 1 to November 22, 6pm - 8pm
Instructor: Helena Clare Pittman
Remember the smell of fresh earth after rain? Your mother’s pot roast? The sea? Suddenly childhood is here! We are each rich in stories; we are living stories! Some of our stories float on the surface of memories. Others seem just out of reach. And others, part of the treasure trove of childhood, are deep inside, surprisingly intact. Think you can’t remember? You’ll be gratified and surprised how the child is still very much alive within you. Tried and true writing prompts are the key to open the door to this wonderful nourishment.
Helena Clare Pittman has taught memoir writing for many years; in schools, libraries, and at the City University of New York Queens College Graduate School of Education as an artist-in-residence.
