3 sessions: Wednesdays, December 3 to December 17, 4pm - 6:30pm
Instructor: Helena Clare Pittman
In this class we'll sample ways to access, though writing, the rich memory store of experience that lives inside each of us. We'll discuss the elements of story, the themes that express themselves through our lives, and ways to structure writings that express both story and theme. In each class meeting we’ll write, share, if we want to share, and l will read passages from other authors' memoirs. Through discussion we’ll cast light on the way these works have been structured, the elements that make them compelling, and relate them to our own work. We are all writers and story tellers. This workshop class welcomes everyone.
