Have you ever wanted to use music, art, and spoken words to express your thoughts for the day but didn’t know where to begin? Whether those thoughts pertained to politics, love, war, food, the birth of a child, or simply the joy of living? This course encourages all levels of writers to tap into their strengths, find their voices, and learn new techniques to express themselves through a creative art form called Spoken Word. Participants will engage in group activities using dramatic expression, music, new forms of speech, breath, public speaking, editing, and the study of other writers and artists. Bring a pen or pencil, paper, and a creative mind. The course will culminate in a public performance to share your work with family and friends.
Fee: Member $95, Non-Member $105
