Play Reading: A Tender Thing

  • The Laundry King 65 Main Street Livingston Manor, NY 12758 (map)

The Catskill Art Society presents a performance reading of the play “A Tender Thing” by Ben Power, one night only at 7:30pm on Saturday, September 5 at the Laundry King.

The greatest love story of all time, remixed. What if Romeo and Juliet had lived and loved?

Playwright Ben Power weaves the text of "Romeo and Juliet" into a provocative new tale of love and sacrifice. Masterfully directed by Mimi McGurl, this reimagined, remixed Shakespeare story is an elegiac yet ultimately hopeful account of the human capacity for love. Starring Cass Collins and John Higgins with Roan Gillingham.

The play is in one act and runs approximately 75 minutes with no intermission. Tickets are pay-what-you-can (suggested donation $20). Half-price $10 tickets are offered to students who book in advance.

This showtime is sold out. For information or to join the wait list, email or call 845-436-4227.
