Join us for a bacchanal to kick off the "Exquisite Corpse of the Catskills" project at the Elevator Gallery at CAS, featuring a public lottery of artists to participate in this surreal creative game.
Ellie Ohiso and Akira Ohiso, the names behind popular social projects such as Green Door Magazine, have partnered with the Catskill Art Society to launch an interactive exhibition that includes an open call to visual artists to participate in a parlor game turned art exhibition entitled "Exquisite Corpse of the Catskills," based on the historic Surrealist parlor game. For more information, visit our Submissions page.
The Ohisos, along with CAS, are calling upon the Catskills’ community of visual artists (Sullivan, Ulster, Orange and Delaware Counties in NY, Wayne and Pike Counties in PA) to submit their names via email to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, April 15. Twenty-one artists, to be paired in seven groups of three, will be chosen randomly at a public lottery at the CAS Arts Center on Saturday, April 18 at 2pm. The public lottery party is free and open to all.
